The ups and downs of mental health were symbolised by a giant game of snakes and ladders today at Take Notice, an expo at Tauranga Hospital to showcase the services and self-care around Mental Health Awareness week.

The game was organised by Te Ngakau Totika a local trust which is part of a national programme to highlight stigma and discrimination for people with experience of mental unwellness.

The game was used in workshops at the Expo to illustrate some of the positive and negative aspects of Mental Health, chosen because it is a game that everyone recognises is interactive.
