Four men charged Gary Kimura's murder

Four men are now charged with the murder of Tauranga businessman Gary Kimura, who was attacked at his home last year.

The charges relate to a serious assault on 44-year-old Gary Clayton Kimura at his Margaret Rd home on October 5, and his subsequent death in Tauranga Hospital on November 16.

Taonui Hiku, Witri Neketai, Jesse Hartley and Joseph Rewiri appeared in Tauranga District Court this morning.

Hartley is on bail while Hiku, Neketai and Rewiri were all remanded in custody. All four are due back in court on April 12.

Mr Kimura, married with six children, ran Gary's Tyres in Sulphur Point for about 15 years.
