The distinctive commercial fishing boat Star Trek has still not been seen since it disappeared from its mooring at Pilot Bay a week ago.

Mike Antrobus realised his $60,000 turquoise 10m Care-style trawler was missing when his sister mentioned she had not seen it there last Tuesday evening.

Mr Antrobus has told friends and also reported the loss to the police and Maritime New Zealand.

A week later the fisherman is still no closer to finding his boat.

"We're still telling everyone we know and putting the word out but we have no idea. I'd be out looking but you don't know where to start so it's pointless."

If you have seen the boat or have information call the Tauranga police on (07) 577 4300.
