Fallen tree blocks SH 29

File.
File. John Borren

A fallen tree on State Highway 29 casued minor delays for traffic heading over the Kaimai Ranges this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Lower Kaimais near Omanawa Rd about 8.50am after reports that a large tree had fallen across the main highway.

A reporter at the scene said the tree had blocked the road and a police officer was directing traffic.

The road was down to one lane at one stage.

The tree has since been moved and traffic is relatively free-flowing.
