Elderly woman in hospital after car crash
Traffic at a busy city interchange was disrupted after two cars crashed yesterday.
A Mitsubishi Mirage and a Nissan Micra crashed on Chapel St about 3pm at the foot of the off-ramp from the Takitimu Drive flyover.
An 81-year-old woman was taken to Tauranga Hospital and was last night in a serious but stable condition. Police diverted traffic around the accident site while they assessed the cause of the crash.
