Cyclist hospitalised after collision with truck
A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision with a truck this morning.
Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the crash occurred just east of the flyover on Maunganui Rd about 8.30am today.
"A truck and cyclist were travelling in the same direction when the cyclist has pulled out into the road and collided with the side of the heavy motor vehicle," he said.
"The cyclist was taken to hospital and my understanding is his injuries were minor."
