Critical injuries in crash
A Tauranga man was critically injured after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a parked car on Birch Ave.
The crash happened about 2.30am on Saturday.
The 21-year-old was driving towards Waihi Rd when he lost control on a left-hand bend, crossed the road and crashed into the car.
Police are investigating but believe speed and alcohol were factors.
