An 18-year-old Te Puke man has been arrested and charged with robbing a man in a wheelchair at gunpoint.

Kainamu Paul from Te Puke faced a charge of aggravated robbery in Tauranga District Court yesterday.

The robbery is alleged to have occurred in Donovan St, Te Puke, on November 30.

It is alleged Paul entered the victim's house and brandished a sawn-off shotgun at him before fleeing with his wallet.
