Drivers are being reminded to take care and use the correct lanes after a prang at a busy Tauranga intersection this morning.
Lanes were blocked off at 11.30am after a heavy truck and trailer unit and a car collided at the roundabout of State Highway 29 and Takitimu Drive.
Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the truck had been in the left lane of the two-laned roundabout, coming out of Takitimu Drive and turned right into SH29.
The truck then collided with a car that was using the right lane.
``The left lane is for left-turning traffic or straight ahead traffic only and is clearly signed that way,'' Mr Campion said.
``It's a reminder to be careful and take extra care at intersections.''
No one was hurt in the collision.
