Two Model T Fords were the oldest vehicles at this year's Archie Stutt senior citizen's annual cruise from the St Joan's Home and Hospital.

Residents of Hamilton East's St Joan's Home and Hospital were treated to an outing by classic and vintage car owners.

During last weekend's ninth annual Archie Stutt senior citizen's annual cruise nearly 30 representatives of the American ClassicCar Club, Ford Model T and Model A clubs, Early Ford V8 Club, Ford Mustang Club and individual owners chauffeured the residents on a motoring jaunt and a day to remember.

Among the oldest were two Model T Fords which attracted admiring looks. One was more than 100 years old and another a mere 86.

Drivers and residents were sent on their travels with a barbecue and welcomed back to the hospital with an afternoon tea.

Archie Stutt, already planning the next senior citizen's cruise, praised the generosity of the car owners who gave up their time and machines and the work of Glenys Holden, St Joans' motivational therapist who made participating a reality for residents.
