Bomb threat in Mt Maunganui
Shops have been closed and police are investigating bomb threat in central Mount Maunganui.
The post office, Diamond and Co and Beach Legal, all at 155 Maunganui Rd, are believed to have been closed and cleared.
A police Northern Communications Centre spokesperson said a topless male had been causing a disturbance in businesses and police were looking for him.
A Bay of Plenty Times caller said they believed a man had walked into a shop, taken off his clothes and left a package which he said was a bomb.
