English singer and rapper Example, and Kiwi favourites Opshop are set to perform in New Zealand's most iconic beach pub - the Waihi Beach Hotel.

The line up of the Summer Festival has been announced and details have revealed a line-up of top international and national acts set to play over six dates this holiday period.

Avalanche City, OpShop, P Money and English rapper Example are some of the highlighted acts.

This year the festival dates range from December 22 to January 5.

The garden bar and car park will be transformed to bring revellers a variety of food outlets, a boutique brewery with winery and cider and more.

The big top will create a festival village with shelter from the elements and guarantee the shows will go off rain, hail or shine.

For the first time, there will be a Backroom VIP area, with only 300 tickets available.

The VIP ticket will give punters exclusive use of the hotel lounge with a premium view of the stage, as well as separate food outlets, a full bar facility and bathrooms.

VIP tickets will also allow guests to enter the Hotel backroom for the official after party, which will continue through the night until 2am, following each show.

Entry to the backroom after party will be $20 on the night.

Tickets will go on sale from October 25, and are available from www.beachpub.co.nz or www.ticketmaster.co.nz
