Behaviour at bus stop not suspicious

File

Reports of suspicious behaviour at a bus stop turned out to be just a proud father taking photos of his daughter driving the bus.

A 17-year-old Aquinas College student contacted the Bay of Plenty Times about a man taking photos.

Go Bus operations manager Ashley Burton said the actions of the man were entirely innocent.

The man, who lived nearby, was the father of a bus driver and knew his daughter would be driving past so decided to get footage of her at work, Mr Burton said.

A police spokesperson said the teenager was right to report such behaviour.

The mother of the girl said she apologised for causing any distress to the man and his family.
