Rain didn't stop dozens of competitors hitting the pavement for Triathlon Tauranga's third race in the 2012 duathlon series yesterday.

Competitor Mark Findlay braved the wet conditions to complete his second duathlon.

Alongside him, about 60 fellow competitors ran and cycled around the course at The Lakes subdivision in Tauranga.

Triathlon Tauranga chairman Adam Hazlett said the day was a success thanks to the dedication of organisers and volunteers, who braved the conditions and marked the course for the athletes.

The next race in the five-race series is on August 12.

Participants can enter on race day.
