Gardening: colourful amaryllis
After seeing the lovely amaryllis in the Gardening section last Saturday (1st Dec) I thought the readers would like to see this colourful photo of the Amaryillis which my mother who lives in Tenth Avenue has been growing.
The amaryllis pot has been outside all year having started from just 1 bulb 10 yrs ago, is one pot of two and has 4 bulbs in each pot.
These beautiful flowers have the biggest enemy of snails and slugs which love to feed on their leaves in the Autumn.
