Album review: Cheryl Cole, A Million Lights
If you have wondered what kind of album Cheryl Cole would make after her public break-up, the answer is one packed with confidence, sexiness and a touch of a woman scorned.
An angry woman seems to make for good listening, with music providing a suitable outlet to get rid of those angry feelings after a nasty and public break-up, and Cheryl Cole has done just that. A Million Lights is a dance/pop album that infuses dubstep into the mix as well.
With song titles such as Boys Lie, Last One Standing and Love Killer, you can guarantee Cole's album touches on situations such as a bad breakdown in a relationship.
She's feisty, sexy, confident and has come out with music that has awesome beats, some fun lyrics and memorable sounds.
I can't get enough of Love Killer, Boys Lie (which showcases some good vocal ability and a touch of dubstep), Girl in the Mirror, Craziest Things, Sexy Den a Mutha and Last One Standing.
Other favourites include Telescope, which is a bonus track, All is Fair, Under the Sun and of course her single Call Me.
The track Ghetto Baby oozes Cole's sexuality.
The only tracks I would probably skip past are Mechanics of the Heart and A Million Lights.
The album consists of a good range of good music and although I enjoyed the album the first time I heard it, it got even better each time after that.
