Agency hired to find new council CEO

Tauranga City Council
Tauranga City Council John Borren.

EQI Global, a New Zealand based recruitment company, has been selected by the Tauranga City Council to manage the process for selection of a new permanent Chief Executive.

Graham Ewing, the Principal of EQI, has been in the business of advising clients on executive recruitment for over 25 years - the latest similar process being that for the Chief Executive of Dunedin City Council.

The company proposes a national and international campaign searching for the highest quality candidates available for the position which is currently being held on an interim basis by Leigh Auton.

The council hopes to have selected a successful candidate by Christmas with a view to having them start in April or May 2013.
