Thirty-three Western Bay school principals will meet on the racetrack at Baypark Speedway this weekend for a fun, fund-raising event.

Various fund-raising initiatives are aligned with Saturday night's racing. Speedway manager Roger Bailey is hoping to raise more than $7000 to distribute back to the competing schools.

"Fundraising has already been kick-started with a $1000 donation from local business Crockford Real Estate which will be drawn on the night for one lucky school," he said.

Mr Bailey advises that each patron attending the event also has an opportunity to contribute by placing their ticket in a donation bucket representing the school of their choice located at the gates.

Baypark Speedway will then donate 50c per redeemed ticket to the school.

"The bigger the crowd, the better for the schools."

In addition there will be a gold coin donation for entertainment activities operating on-site including hyper-simulators, face painting and temporary tattoos.
