The award-winning Incredible Edibles garden from Ellerslie International Flower Show has been gifted to a family support facility in Canterbury.
Cholmondeley "supports children when their parents cannot" and some of the residents of the Banks Peninsula facility turned up to the show on Wednesday to see their new garden.

"One of them wanted to jump in the pond to see how deep it was."
Andrew and wife Fiona, of Katikati's Tharfield Nursery, won Silver Distinction for the garden which was designed as an edible courtyard garden by Sandi MacRae of Christchurch.
